Spirometry

Spirometry (lung function test) can provide valuable information in the event of problems or abnormalities in the respiratory tract. The patient breathes through a small pipe and a tube into a spirometer. The device measures lung volume and the breathing process and prepares the data in graph form.

Spirometry is recommended for diagnosing the following illnesses, among others, which typically manifest in shortness of breath, breathing problems or chronic coughing:

  • Chronic bronchitis
  • Emphysema
  • Asthma
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

We would be happy to perform a spirometry examination in the framework of your medical fitness to dive examination.
